Funding supports work in Lincoln, St. Catharines and NOTL
Up to $1.8 million in funding has been secured to move forward with the Niagara Irrigation Initiative Project, aimed at strengthening irrigation infrastructure for Niagara’s high-value crops like grapes and tender fruit.
The funding will support design and feasibility work for a new piped irrigation system in Lincoln and west St. Catharines, along with upgrades to the existing system in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
The project is funded through federal and provincial programs and supported by local growers and municipalities.
