Some changes are coming to the local United Way organizations, as United Way Golden Horseshoe has been unveiled.
The new branch consists for four former branches, including Niagara Way Niagara, Norfolk and Haldimand, Brant and Halton and Hamilton.
Interim President and CEO Brad Park says the change comes as a result of the needs in the community.
Park adds that despite being a larger branch covering more ground, it's still going to be very localized.
In addition to funding essential services, the organization will aim to strengthen coordination among agencies, support innovation, and help ensure communities are better equipped to respond to complex and interconnected social services challenges.
United Way Golden Horseshoe officially launches on Wednesday.
