REACH Niagara is getting a boost to the tune of $1.08-million from the provincial government.
The organization made the announcement yesterday, adding that the funding will help expand access to primary healthcare services across Niagara.
Executive Director Carolyn Dyer says this is intended for vulnerable residents that may have barriers to accessing healthcare.
Through street healthcare, shelter-based care, outreach, interdisciplinary primary care, and strong community partnerships, REACH works to ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need, where and when they need it.
Dyer says this will only help expand that.
According to REACH, demand for its services has increased by over 3500% over the last four years, preventing over 350 emergency visits in 2025 alone.
