What's Good in Niagara? Thousands brave rainy Saturday to support Rankin Cancer Run

2025 Rankin Run

It was another successful year for the Rankin Cancer Run in St. Catharines, even if the weather didn't quite cooperate.

The 19th edition of the run saw an estiamted 3000 participants show up in pouring rain on Saturday, all with the goal of raising money for local cancer services in the Niagara Region.

Volunteer Run Organizer Mary Ann Edwards says she couldn't believe it.

With this year's run now done, the fundraiser has brought in more than $14-million. Edwards has a message for anyone that's helped add to that number.

Over 200 teams took part in this weekend's run, and will continue raising money until November virtually.
