The City of St. Catharines is offering local non-profit and sports organizations the chance to attend Niagara River Lions home games at the Meridian Centre through its Community Use Program.
Community and Events Supervisor with the city of St. Catharines, Brianne Wilson shares the criteria needed for groups to apply.
They can apply to receive 12 tickets to select River Lions home games.
Applications opened Monday, March 23, and must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 10.
Through the program, the City will match eligible applicants with a limited number of available games. Tickets can be used to bring children and youth to experience a live sporting event or for fundraising purposes.
All submissions will be reviewed and scored to determine eligibility and priority.
Brianne explains the process if demand exceeds supply.
Successful applicants will be notified in writing.
While all eligible organizations serving St. Catharines are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those based in the city that focus on youth programming.
Organizations that participated in previous years must reapply for the 2026 season.
