What's Good in Niagara? St. Catharines based LyricVids surpasses 1-billion YouTube plays

A St. Catharines-based creative company has reached a major milestone online.

LyricVids, founded in Niagara by Jessica Robert and her partner Anthony Craparotta, has now surpassed one-billion views on YouTube through its lyric videos and motion graphics work for musicians, movie studios and brands around the world.

The company began in 2015 after the pair noticed increasing demand for lyric videos while working as videographers in Toronto’s music scene. What started as a niche creative service quickly evolved into a full-time business working with artists and labels internationally.

Robert says the company realized early on there was strong demand for high-quality lyric videos, especially for independent artists looking for a more affordable alternative to traditional music videos.

Over the years, LyricVids has worked with a wide range of clients, including projects tied to major films and soundtrack campaigns. Robert highlighted work connected to Wicked, Fast X, Kung Fu Panda, Dogman and Despicable Me as some of the company’s biggest accomplishments.

The Niagara company also built early momentum through work connected to Spinnin’ Records and EDM artists, helping establish the studio in the international music industry.

While the company continues to work in entertainment, Robert says LyricVids has also expanded its services closer to home by partnering with Niagara businesses and organizations looking to elevate their branding and marketing visuals.

Despite working with global brands and major entertainment properties, LyricVids remains based in St. Catharines, operating from a converted garage workspace near the city’s hospital area.
