What's Good in Niagara? Sporting history honoured in Niagara Falls

The Niagara Falls Sports Wall of Fame has nine new inductees after this weekend, as the tradition and history of sport is recognized.

One of those inductees is martial artist and pro wrestler Jeremy Elliott, who also runs United Family Martial Arts in Niagara Falls.

He says growing up with a single mother helped him with the work ethic he has today.

Through his career, Elliott has earned a 7th degree blackbelt, and wrestled all over North America.

He says he had no idea he'd be inducted, but had a playful conversation about it years ago.

This year's inductees include:

Jared Baldinelli, Athlete - Baseball
Bob Benson, Builder - Soccer
Jeremy Cross, Builder - Basketball
Martha Cruikshank, Builder - Multi-Sport
Jeremy Elliott, Athlete - Martial Arts
Joe Grant, Athlete - Hockey
Sara Kovac, Athlete - Volleyball
Carolyn (St. Angelo) Ladas, Athlete - Basketball
Giancarlo Rapanaro, Athlete - Football
