Construction is moving ahead on the South Niagara Hospital, with the project marking three years since the official groundbreaking.

Niagara Health and construction partner EllisDon held a tour of the site Thursday, for an inside look at the progress and the next steps for the project.

Director of transaction and construction with the Niagara Health team, Patrick Topping, says the final product will be well worth the wait.

Behind the scenes, Niagara Health teams continue to prepare for the transition to the new hospital, focusing on operational planning and ensuring a smooth opening.

The new hospital is also WELL Certified.

These milestones highlight the tremendous progress being made and the scale of delivering a modern healthcare facility for the community.

The future 1.3-million-square-foot hospital has reached several major milestones over the past year as work continues on the new healthcare facility.
