What's Good in Niagara? Smile Cookies helping feed Niagara families

Smile Cookies are back at Tim Hortons locations across Canada this week, with each city in the Niagara Region helping benefit a different local organization.

In Niagara Falls, parts of the proceeds will be going towards GROW Food Literacy Centre.

Community Development Manager Lindsay Krahn says food insecurity is an area they specialize in, which is much more common than people would expect.

GROW and its food literacy programs currently serve over 3000 individuals in Niagara through their low-cost market and GROW-on-the-GO Mobile Markets.

Krahn says food literacy can cover a number of topics.

Smile Cookies can be purchased at any Tim Hortons for $2 each until May 3rd.
