With the temperatures going up and down so much the last few weeks, potholes have been popping up across the region.
Owner of Murdoch’s Tire and Automotive Don Murdoch says every year he sees cars come in with pothole-related damage. He says a big part of this is the size of today’s tires.
Don adds that it’s not just tires and rims you have to be careful for when you hit a pothole, as sometimes your alignment could also be thrown off.
He adds that if you can, avoid potholes completely, but if you have to drive over one, do so slowly.
In 2025, Sider Road in Fort Erie was ranked the 8th worst in Ontario. Rounding out the Top 5 worst in Niagara were Portage Road (Niagara Falls), Miller Road (Port Colborne), Lundy's Lane (Niagara Falls) and Facer Street (St. Catharines).
