One of the loudest sporting events in the Niagara region is back for another season.
Earlier this week, the Niagara River Lions announced details of their annual School Day Game, which is taking place on June 19th this year.
President Michelle Biskup says it's a completely different environment than the rest of the season.
The team is encouraging local businesses to support the game, through an 'Adopt a School' program, which helps provide access to students who may not be able to otherwise go.
Biskup says it's definitely a change in routine from a regular gameday, which includes the players.
Last season's School Day Game welcomed a record 4454 attendees, the most in franchise history. For ticketing information or to learn more about the School Day Game, you can contact Dom Labrecque at 289-273-5905 or dlabrecque@riverlions.ca.
