A new way to get from Niagara to Toronto is coming, and it's now more Canadian than originally intended.
Hoverlink plans on running hovercraft trips from St. Catharines to Toronto over Lake Ontario in 30 minutes, with dock locations now secured on both ends of the route.
President Erika Portz says there's been some obstacles along the way, including tariffs.
Portz says right now the plan is to break ground on their St. Catharines location, which means the project is closer to becoming reality.
Hoverlink plans on running year-round, with up to 48 trips per day between Niagara and Toronto once operational, all while being environmentally friendly and having minimal noise.
