What's Good in Niagara? Port Colborne Lions 'Donut Day' returns this weekend

Money goes back to local organizations through Port Colborne Lions

The Port Colborne Lions Club are once again doing one of the things that they do best - donuts.

For years, the organization has sold donuts to raise money for their operations and community support, with this year's first donut day being held on Saturday.

George DeRuyte from the Port Colborne Lions says it's a long process to make the sweet treats.

As for the proceeds of donut day, DeRuyte says they're used for giving back to the community.

Due to the popular demand of the donuts, there's a limit of two dozen per customer.

The fresh-made donuts will be available on Saturday from 9:00am to 2:30pm at Lions Field on Killaly Street West.
