As Canadians take a moment to remember today on Remembrance Day, there are some efforts being made locally to make sure that sacrifices made by those before us are never forgotten.
The Niagara Military Museum is home to hundreds of artifacts from wars over centuries dating back to the War of 1812, which saw a number of local battles.
Mathew Giagnorio from the museum says there's no shortage of exhibits locally you can see.
Giagnorio adds that it's crucial to remember why those before us were fighting.
