Nearly 1700 people joined the Summer Reading Club in 2025
As many kids start their summer vacations this week, the Niagara Falls Public Library wants to make sure they keep reading.
Programming Librarian Becky Dixon says often times kids stop reading in the summer because of their access to books, rather than the want to read.
One program that's always fun is the Snake Break every Wednesday at 2pm at our Victoria Avenue Library, where visitors get the chance to meet our summer snake, Butter, and even pet him!
Niagara Falls Public Library also offers a summer reading club, with programs for kids of all ages, as well as adults. In 2025, 1,668 people registered for our Summer Reading Club and collectively read more than one million minutes over the summer.
