The Rotary Club of St. Catharines is launching a free Volunteer Matchmaker to connect local non-profits with people looking to lend a hand.
Organizations can submit volunteer requests, and the platform matches them with people in its growing volunteer database.
The program is already making an impact, recently connecting Hospice Niagara with 28 potential volunteers and filling positions for a project at the Stabler Centre.

The initiative was created by Rotary members Jackie Van Lankveld and Amin Osmani, with support from the Rotary Clubs of St. Catharines South and St. Catharines Lakeshore.
Non-profits can submit requests at requestvolunteers.netlify.app, while residents can sign up to volunteer at rotaryvolunteers.netlify.app.
Because it's not a regular standing commitment, they are flexible with who they can volunteer with.
Both services are free.
