Holiday Smile Cookies are back at Tim Hortons locations across the Niagara Region, with all proceeds from each purchase going towards local charities in the area.
If you buy your cookies in Niagara Falls, the money will help support the Education Foundation of Niagara, which serves families across the region.
Coordinator with EFN Kaitlin Wharton says this money raised will help families when they need it most.
Wharton adds that with the holiday season coming, they typically see a rise in requests from families.
Throughout the region, different organizations will benefit based on where cookies are purchased:
Niagara Falls - Education Foundation of Niagara
St. Catharines/Thorold/NOTL - Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre Niagara
Welland - FACS Niagara Foundation
Pelham - Pelham Cares
Port Colborne - Port Colborne Legion & Port Cares
Fort Erie - Community Living Fort Erie
Grimsby - GBF Community Services
Smithville - The FORT
Last year, Tim Hortons helped raise $10.7 million through the Holiday Smile Cookie campaign nationwide.
