Today is Day 1 of the 12 Days of Holiday Fire Safety, as we'll be focusing on ways to make sure you and your loved ones are as safe as can be this holiday season.
Today's tip has to do with Holiday Lights. St. Catharines Fire Public Education officer Hailey Zwierschke says checking for any damage is crucial.
Zwierschke adds that it's important to make sure to turn the lights off when you aren't around also.
If you have to buy new lights, Zwierschke says there's some things you should be looking for.
