The Niagara Falls Fire Chief got a chance to rest Tuesday, temporarily leaving his duties to one hard-working city resident.
Taking over the reins was Beth White, winner of the Department's Older Adult Fire Chief For a Day Challenge, who was looking forward to the opportunity
A.J. Lunn, the Fire Department's Public Education Officer, noted this contest is the first of its kind in Ontario.
The day included a swearing-in ceremony where White was fitted with her own uniform - complete with the Fire Chief's stripes and shiny badges.
