Despite groundhogs across Canada claiming that an early spring is coming, Environment Canada says....maybe not yet.
Climatologist David Phillips says the Niagara Region regularly sees a decent amount of snow after January.
Niagara saw more snow than usual for January across the board, however the number varies depending where in the region you are.
Phillips says often time, Lake Erie can see a delayed snow event because of the wind and its tendency to freeze over.
Niagara is expected to get some relief from the cold on Friday, with a high of 2 forecasted for much of the region - but also a few centimetres of snow possible.
