What's Good in Niagara? Christine Clark Lafleur reflects on memorable career with Port Cares

After announcing her retirement earlier this year, outgoing Port Cares CEO Christine Clark Lafleur was celebrated at a get together Thursday to look back on an unforgettable 11 years with the organization.

Clark Lafleur says when it came to the decision to retire, the time just felt right.

Port Cares saw a number of changes during Clark Lafleur's tenure there, going from an organization barely getting by financially to spearheading an affordable housing build with over 40 units.

She says if there's one thing that drew her to Port Cares when she started, it was the wide range of services that it offers.

Port Cares offers a number of services to the community of Port Colborne including a food bank, eviction prevention, EarlyON Childcare Centres and employment services.
