Studies show constant phone notifications can lead to anxiety

As people spend more and more time looking at screens, there's one generation that's starting to do the opposite - and it might surprise you who.

Research by Brock University Associate Professor of Recreation and Leisure Studies Garrett Hutson shows that Gen Z, who are now aged 14 to 29 years old, are actually unplugging more than anyone.

Hutson says this might be because they're the first generation raised with so many screens.

He says a big factor in unplugging among Gen Z has been notifications.

Hutson adds that many Gen Z are looking to enjoy nature more often to offset negative health impacts of being plugged in so constantly.
