Brock University is getting ready to welcome new and returning students to its inaugural Welcome Weekend on September 5th and 6th.
More than 2,700 students are expected to move into residence, with volunteers helping students and their families get settled before the fall term begins.
Executive Director of Student Life and Success at Brock, Dr. Jenn Skelding says those involved share the same culture.
The weekend will feature several events, along with Brock Badgers’ home openers for women’s rugby and soccer and men’s soccer.
Skelding says the goal is to make new students feel as comfortable as possible.
Welcome Weekend will lead into Welcome Week, including Brock Cares Day of Service, which will see students volunteer with community organizations across Niagara, with classes beginning September 9th.
