A Welland man is facing multiple charges after allegedly defrauding an elderly victim on several occasions.
47-year-old Jason Jacobs reportedly gained the victim’s trust, completed minor tasks, and persuaded them to withdraw cash from a bank, providing it to him.
The incidents occurred roughly five times before neighbours stepped in and contacted police.
Jacobs has been charged with fraud under $5,000, possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, and uttering threats.
