The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake has delivered new accessibility ramps to participating businesses through the StopGap Foundation’s Community Ramp Project.
The custom-built ramps, installed last Friday, are designed to remove single-step barriers at storefront entrances, making local businesses more accessible to people with mobility challenges.
The initiative supports Council’s Strategic Plan by promoting accessibility, strengthening local businesses, and enhancing the visitor experience.
The Town plans to host a community unveiling event in early spring to celebrate the project.
