President Trump downplays Canada-US-Mexico trade agreement

US President Donald Trump is downplaying the importance of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement.

Trump made those comments during a visit to a Michigan auto plant.

The agreement is up for review this year, with formal talks expected to begin later this month.

Prime Minister Mark Carney has confirmed Canada’s trade minister will meet with U.S. officials in mid-January.
