Niagara Regional Police have arrested a Port Colborne man in connection with a historical sexual assault investigation dating back to 2002 and 2003.
Police say the Sexual Assault Unit became involved in November after receiving allegations involving incidents that occurred while the accused was an adult working as a leader in an after-school program in Port Colborne. The victim was a youth at the time.
On December 18, 41-year-old Joseph F. Crawford of Port Colborne was arrested and charged with three counts of sexual assault, three counts of sexual interference, and one count of forcible confinement.
