Dr. Tyler Plyley, a practising anesthesiologist at Niagara Health, has been recognized for his commitment to medical education with the 2025 Dr. George Bibawi Award for Excellence in Teaching.
The honour recognizes a clinical teacher at McMaster’s Niagara Regional Campus who exemplifies excellence in anesthesia education.
Nominated by his peers, Dr. Plyley was praised as an attentive and supportive role model who tailors learning to the needs and goals of medical learners.
The award comes just four years into his career at Niagara Health, where Dr. Plyley says paying it forward to future physicians is especially meaningful.
