A Niagara family is making a significant contribution to supporting future healthcare workers at Niagara College.
The Haj-Ahmad Family Foundation is donating $500,000 toward the College’s new 75,000-square-foot Healthcare Education building at the Welland Campus, slated to open in 2027.
The project will expand training capacity by adding space for 800 additional students in high-demand programs such as nursing, personal support work, and paramedicine.
The donation will specifically support the Pharmacy Technician program and provide new student scholarships.
Niagara College says the gift will help bolster the region’s healthcare workforce during a period of ongoing shortages.
