The relationship between Canada and the US will go through someone born here in Niagara, right next to the border.
Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced that Mark Wiseman, who was born in Niagara Falls, will become Canada’s next Ambassador to the United States once he presents his credentials.
Wiseman brings more than 30 years of experience in law, business, and finance, with deep knowledge of both Canadian and U.S. economic and financial systems.
Beginning February 15, he will play a key role in advancing bilateral priorities such as secure borders, trade and investment, and cooperation on global challenges.
