The Niagara Academy for Indigenous Relations and Niagara Geopark have signed a formal Memorandum of Understanding.
Aimed at establishing a long-term partnership to ensure Indigenous knowledge and perspectives are included across all Geopark programs, the academy will serve as the Geopark's primary indigenous knowledge advisory partner.
Leaders from both organizations say the partnership ensures Indigenous voices are meaningfully integrated at the core of Niagara Geopark’s work, strengthening public understanding as the region advances toward international recognition.
