Lisa De Angelis has been named Niagara Region’s new Commissioner of Public Works, bringing more than 35 years of leadership experience in public infrastructure management to the role. She will begin her new position on January 12.
A licensed Professional Civil Engineer and Registered Professional Planner, De Angelis most recently served as Vice President of Civil Infrastructure at Metrolinx, where she oversaw the engineering, management, and renewal of more than $12 billion in infrastructure assets.
Her previous public-sector roles include Director of Infrastructure Planning and Policy with Halton Region, where she led the development of a comprehensive asset management strategy for a $6-billion asset registry.
