IceDogs Prevail Over Sudbury

The IceDogs enjoyed three, one goal leads before a third period marker that stood up as the game winner in a 4-3 victory over visiting Sudbury Sunday afternoon.

Vladislav Yermolenko was outstanding between the pipes stopping 42 shots for the win, including a pair of great early saves before Ben Reisnecker scored his first OHL goal 5:05 into the contest. After the Wolves evened the scored, Kevin He counted his 4th of the year and 92nd of his IceDogs career. That moved He to 5th all-time in NIagara IceDogs scoring. Once again the visitors from the north would knot the scored before the mid-way point of the first. Sudbury out-shot the home side 18-6.

In the second, Grayson Tiller's short-handed blast from the point, his second of the season, made it 3-2 after forty. The Wolves got the better of Krys Barch's team in shots, 13-10.

In period three, Sudbury again tied the contest 3-all on the power-play before the IceDogs got the game winner on a man advantage snap shot from Ryan Roobroeck. His 4th of the year came with 9:19 left. The shot total for the game read, Sudbury 45-IceDogs 26.

The IceDogs will travel to Erie Friday night for the first of a back-to-back on the OHL's Rivalry Weekend. The return match at the Meridian Centre goes Saturday night. Both games have a 6:45 pre-game start time on New Country 89.1.
