The IceDogs completed a three game weekend sweep with a 5-1 win over Brampton on the road Sunday. The win, Niagara's 4th in a row, keeps the Dogs atop the Central Division of the OHL.
Two early goals in 23 seconds span would break the game open. First it was Riley Patterson scoring his 6th, then Kevin He equalled his total with the first of 3 on a Sunday afternoon. A twenty minute first period was played in 23 minutes of real time with just 12 shots on goal, with Krys Barch's side registering 7.
A scoreless second period featured 26 shots split equally, with Charlie Robertson keeping the home side off the scoresheet.
Kevin He's second on the game came before the period was 8 minutes old. Brampton's only goal was followed by a Ryan Roobroeck goal, 42 seconds later. The He hat-trick was completed into an empty Brampton net. The visitors from St Catharines held a 31-30 shots advantage at game's end.
Next up, a Halloween Friday matchup with Brampton back at the Meridian Centre. 7 O'clock for the puck drop, with a 6:45 pre-game open on New Country 89.1.
