IceDogs OT Happy New Year!

Ryan Roobroeck scored the overtime winner as the IceDogs closed out 2025 with a 2-1 victory of visiting Oshawa Wednesday night. His 21st extended his consecutive game goal streak to five. The win was a fourth straight for Krys Barch's team.

A scoreless first featured 22 shots, with 13 of those coming off Generals sticks.

The IceDogs were again outshot 12-11 in period two and that one shot difference would give Oshawa a 1-0 lead late in the second.

The tying goal came off the stick of Riley Patterson, 8:34 into the third. Heyden Reid got the lone assist. Shots again favoured the visitors at 10-8.

In overtime, the Generals recorded three of the four shots, with Vladislav Yermolenko having to be sharp to keep it tied. Roobroeck's winner came 2:20 in, on the IceDogs only attempt. Post game featured a fan skate with the team before an off day on Thursday.

The IceDogs return to action Friday night with the one and only visit to Niagara for the Windsor Spitfires. New Country 89.1 will have the pre-game at 6:45.
