IceDogs Get Robo-Shutout in Flint

Charlie Robertson, in just his second game back from off-season hip surgery, stopped 33 shots in blanking Flint 4-0.

Grayson Tiller got the scoring underway with a left point shot in the opening period. Judd Knauft counted his first OHL goal late in the opening twenty. The Fenton, Michigan native celebrated in front of more 150 friends and family.

It would be a consequential second for captain Kevin He. Denied on a penalty shot, He made good late in the period on a breakaway out of the penalty box.

Up 3-0, it would be a lesson in team defence to close out the game. Ethan Czata's third in as many nights would end the scoring as Krys Barch's side limited the hometown Firebirds to 8 shots.

The shutout would be Robertson's 2nd with the IceDogs and his 5th overall in his OHL career. Country 89.1 will begin another IceDogs week with a matchup in Windsor, Thursday night, the airtime is 6:45.
