IceDogs edged in OT by 67s

The IceDogs dropped a 4-3 overtime decision to visiting Ottawa Thursday night.

Down 1-0 in the opening period, Liam Spencer scored his first in the OHL to tie the score. The home side edged the 67's 8-7 in first period shots.

Outshot 16-7 in period two, Vladislav Yermolenko stopped 15 before Ottawa scored late.

In period three, Ryan Roobroeck scored his 10th with less than seven left to tie the matchup. Kevin He also notched his 10th with 2:45 to go to give the Dogs the lead in a wide open period that featured 28 shots, with the home team registering 16. A last minute 67's tally sent the game to overtime.

In the extra period, each team counted a shot on goal with the winner coming at 1:15.

The IceDogs will begin the first of three straight on the road with a Saturday trip to Erie. New Country 89.1 will kick things off with the pre-game at 6:45.
