With the new West Lincoln Memorial Hospital now open, Hamilton Health Sciences has officially moved its patients over.
On Sunday, teams successfully transferred 47 patients from the previous hospital to the new building.
The move relied on wheelchairs, patient transport vehicles operated by Voyago, and assistance from Hamilton Paramedic Service and Niagara EMS.
In total, 280 staff and physicians completed the five-hour transition.
Beginning early next year, work will start on decommissioning the old hospital.
