Ford government looking to allow BYOB at outdoor public events: report

You'll soon be able to crack a cold one at outdoor public events across the province.

According to a report from 680 News, the Ford government will start allowing people to bring their own alcoholic beverages to events like neighbourhood festivals, farmer's markets and movie screenings, starting April 30th.

Municipalities will be required to pass a bylaw authorizing the use of alcohol in public if they don't already have one.

Event organizers will then have to apply for bring-your-own permits through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission.
