Peel Police says no risk to public safety
Ontario Provincial police have closed Highway 409 to Terminal 1 Departures at Pearson Airport due to a police-involved shooting.
The Special Investigations Unit has been dispatched to the scene, and drivers have been instructed to avoid the area.
Reports from the airport say travelers have been able to walk to the terminal, while dozens of police vehicles and officers with rifles have been seen.
Officials say a man was shot, while the officer involved was uninjured. Peel Police say there's no known threats to public safety.
