Jakub Chromiak scored in his IceDogs debut as Niagara battled in Brantford, falling 4-2 to the hometown Bulldogs Wednesday night.
Acquired by General Manager Frank Evola earlier in the week, Chromiak notched his 7th of the season on the power-play to stake the Dogs to a 1-0 lead after one period. Ryan Roobroeck chipped in with an assist to extend his season high point streak to twelve. Vladislav Yermolenko was again outstanding blocking all 10 shots.
Down 2-1 heading to the third, the home team would increase the margin to 3-1 before Riley Patterson fired home his team leading 23rd goal of the season. A late goal on a delayed penalty call closed out the scoring for the night.
The IceDogs were outshot 41-14 and now continue on the road Friday night in Sudbury. New Country 89.1 will have all the action beginning with the pre-game at 6:45.
