Canada has reported its largest population drop on record, mainly caused by a major decline in temporary foreign students and workers.
Statistics Canada said yesterday (Wednesday) the national population fell by 76,068 people, or 0.2 per cent, in the third quarter of this year.
Canada’s population now stands at 41,575,585 as of October 1st, still up from the total of 36,991,981 during the 2021 census.
