The Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region is getting some provincial support for families adjusting to long-term care.
Local MPP Jennie Stevens and an Ontario Trillium Foundation representative will be at Trillium United Church Friday to recognize the organization’s latest OTF grant.
The event gets underway at 10 a.m., followed by a public forum at about 10:30.
The “After the Move to LTC” forum will look at the changing role of family caregivers, including grief and loss, meaningful visits, self-care and building new relationships within the long-term care community.
The event takes place at Ruby Carroll Hall at Trillium United Church on Linwell Road in St. Catharines.
