Brock University and Niagara College are getting more than $76 million to add 3,586 new postsecondary seats.
The Ontario government says the expansion will help connect students with in-demand careers in areas including health, STEM, trades and education, with some seats available this fall.
Brock is getting 2,565 new seats, including more than 1,100 in STEM, 801 in health and 581 in education.
Niagara College will add 1,021 seats, including 346 in health, 263 in trades, 230 in STEM and 182 in education.
The funding is part of a broader $1.7 billion provincial investment to create more than 70,000 new postsecondary seats across Ontario.
The government says the expansion is aimed at building a highly skilled workforce and responding to labour market needs.
