More than $4.5 million is heading to St. Catharines and Welland for housing-related projects.
The Ontario government says the funding comes through the Building Faster Fund after both cities met or exceeded their provincially assigned housing targets in 2025.
St. Catharines will receive nearly $2.84 million after reaching 97 per cent of its target, while Welland gets more than $1.66 million after surpassing its goal by 23 per cent.
The province says the money will help support infrastructure and future housing growth.
