In May, the Niagara Regional Police launched an investigation into the online sexual exploitation of children through a social media platform.
As part of the investigation, detectives executed a search warrant on July 31 at an apartment residence in St. Catharines.
Several digital devices capable of storing electronic data were seized for further forensic analysis.
Following the search, 60-year-old James Douglas Kramer was taken into custody.
He has been charged with offences related to child pornography and failing to comply with a court order.
