Niagara Regional Police have upgraded charges in the death of Cathy Prosje, whose body was found in a shared Smithville home on April 26, 2024.
On Wednesday, July 15, 56-year-old Carolyn Prosje—Cathy’s sister—had her charges elevated to first-degree murder and accessory after the fact to murder.
She remains in custody as the Homicide Unit continues its investigation.
