RUSH announces 2026 North American mini-tour, two Toronto dates included

One of Canada’s most legendary rock bands is returning to the stage after a decade away.

RUSH announced a limited North American tour this morning, featuring seven stops—including two hometown shows in Toronto scheduled for August 2026.

The lineup will see frontman Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson reunited, with German drummer Anika Nilles joining them in place of the late Neil Peart. It will mark the band’s first performances since Peart’s passing in early 2020.

In the announcement of the 'Fifty Something' tour, Lee mentions that replacing Peart is a near-impossible task, but says it's one that Nilles is up to.

'Yet life is full of surprises, and we have been introduced to another remarkable person; an incredible drummer and musician who is adding another chapter to our story while continuing her own fascinating musical journey. Her name is Anika Nilles, and we could not be more excited to introduce her to our loyal and dedicated RUSH fanbase, whom, we know, will give her every chance to live up to that near impossible role'.

Between June and September, the tour will also visit New York City, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Chicago, Texas, and Mexico.
