RONA has announced that 150 youth hockey teams across Canada will receive funding through the second edition of its RONA Rookies program.
The initiative supports teams featuring children of RONA employees and retirees. In Niagara, three local teams, the Niagara Falls Canucks, the Jr. Knights from Niagara Falls, and the IC Canadiens in St. Catharines will benefit from the program during the 2025–2026 season.
Each team will receive about $4,000 to help cover costs such as equipment, registration fees, tournaments, and team apparel.
