Police investigating series of break ins in Welland

Niagara Regional Police are investigating a series of break-and-enters at a retirement condominium in Welland.

On July 3, police responded to reports that three suspects had entered multiple units while residents were away on vacation.

Investigators believe the suspects first struck on June 28, returning again on July 1.

Disguised in black clothing and concealing their identities, the suspects stole a range of valuables—including jewelry, cash, and a notable quantity of one-ounce silver bars.

Detectives believe the silver bars may have been offered for sale locally and are urging pawn shops, second-hand dealers, and precious metal buyers to be on alert for suspicious transactions.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Niagara Regional Police. The investigation is ongoing.
